In an attempt to get a handle on the massive overspending in the budget, the US Congress could not find a way to cut $100 billion.  They could not cut one hundred billion dollars, and we borrow 15 times that each year.  In order to have a balanced budget, we would need to cut $1,500,000,000,000.

Now, imagine if you will if we could pay back $100,000,000,000 (that’s $100 billion) each year from the debt we owe.  Yes, this is a fantasy, as Congress could not even CUT that amount from the budget, let alone pay it off.  But let’s imagine it anyway.

The trillion dollar question:  How long would it take for us to pay back the current US debt if we could pay back $100,000,000,000 a year?

The answer: 152 years!  Congress couldn’t even cut that amount from the yearly budget.

The worse news:  Every 26 days, we add $100,000,000,000 to the national debt.

Sign on today to help stop this madness!

No business, no company, no corporation,

No borough, no township, no city

No local, no state, no federal government

Can survive by accumulating debt year after year after year.”
